Armenian Orphans Present Coolidge Handmade Rug President Coolidge today re- ceived, as a token =i gratitude for Araerican relief work {n the Near Fast, .an Ispahan rug, 221 square feet and containing 4,404,247 sep- arate knots, made by Armenian orphan girls in the Near East Re lief Orphanage in Stdon, Syria. Deslgned by an Armenian gee girl, saved by Near E: lief workers from the massacres in Marash, in 1919, the rug re- quired 10 months of labor for completion. It was started imme diately after the observance of In- ternational Golden Rule Sunday last vear for the benefit of child rescue and welfare work in the Near East and arrived in \Wash- ington vesterday.
