Lund of New York had charged the council j= now a closed body with a purpose to destroy local government and center all power in the Federal Government Mrs. Lund's charges came follow ing the refusal of the executive com mittee to consider a slate of off ~ubmitted by Mrs. Henry Clarke ¢ chairman of the clubwomen's protec tive committee, and presented to the council by Mrs. Lund. who claimed | the committee headed by Mrs. Coe was formed to restore the council to an_open body. The question of peace was another matter that drew the fire of Mrs Lund. Mrs. Moore asserted the coun cil was organized in-the interests “of mo special propasanda.” Mrs. Lund. on the other hand claimed the il “as now consti sible only to those who disarmament and en trance of the United States into the League of Nations Mrs. Lund declares many leaders of the council are pledzed 1o break down the Army and Navy and to encouraze a “bloodless revolution™ in \ash ton through the support of certain hills.
