ARTEMAS GIRL IS ASPHYXIATED WHILE RESTING ON BED Miss Irene M. Gore Found Dead by Roommate—Accidental Death Is Verdict. Miss Irene M. Gore, 22 years old, a gulde av the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, was accidentally asphyx- iated yesterday when she neglected to turn off the gas jet in her room, which she had been using to heat a curling iron while dressing for an en- gagement. She was found dead lying on her bed in the rooming house at 2026 Fifteenth street by Miss Alto McGrew, her roommate. It is believed Miss Gore lay down for a few minutes’ rest and that a current of air through an open win- dow blew out the flame. Coroner J. Ramsay Nevitt, after an investigation, issued a certificate of accidental death. Miss Gore had been a resident here for five vears. Her father, George Gore, a Clarksville, Md., farmer, took the body back to the Maryland town for interment. 10 an; In Alemoriam. ARNETT. G.
