H. McAlister, | storekeeper, Division of Equipment and Supplies of the Post Office Depart- ment, that news print paper be sub: tuted for manila paper for use as fa ing slips will result in a saving of ap- | proximately §19,000 for the next fiscal ar, Acting Postmaster General Hen- derson today advised Brig. Gen. H. M. Lord, director of the Budget Bureau. Full credit for thé suggestion accom plishing the saving has been given Mr. McAllister, to whom an award of $100 has been recommended by the committee on awards. In order to determine the merit of Mr. McAllister’s suggestion on the last proposal for 14 carloads of slips, bids were asked on both news print and manila paper. An award based on these bids has been made, and news print is 10 be supplied at a saving on this par- ticular order of more than $5,000. The price per million slips w: 7.15 for manila and $42.28 for hews print. The news print slips have been substituted in both the post office service and rall- way mail service, and, in the opinion of all consulted, will serve as well as the so-called mantla. Refuge for Antelope Sought. The Forest Service is endeavoring to obtain a game refuge for antelope, which are in danger of extermination, a recent Investigation showing that only about 5,000 now range the na- tional forests, it was announced today. The moose also show a decrease, the count being 5,100 head, compared with 8.000 the previous year, but the wide difforence in the figures is attributed in upulrl to greater accuracy in the last count. HILLTOP TO HONOR FACULTY MENBERS Will Give Honorary Degrees to Instructors in Medi- cal School. Honorary degrees are to be con- ferred on individual members of the medical faculty at the 136th annual commencement of Georgetown Uni- versity, it was announced today, as a feature of the diamond jubilee anni- versary of the medical school. These honors are to be bestowed, it was said, in recognition of years of personal sacrifice and service to the institution on the part of members of the faculty. The diamond jubilee celebration will end with a bapquet Monday night in Ryan Hall, at which many of the most distinguished mem- bers of the profession will be guests. Dr. George M. Kober, veteran dean of the medical school, one of the principal speakers on this occasion, will tell of the founding of the school, while Rev. Charles W.
