REV. H. . SNYDER TAKES PULPIT HERE New Pastor of Lutheran Church Has Record of Accomplishment. Rev. Howard nyder will preach his introductory sermon as pastor of the Lutheran Church of the Atone- ment, North Capitol street and Rhode Island avenue, tomorrow morning Rev. Mr. Snyder was born and reared on farm in Tippecanoe County, Ind. Bducated in the public schools. he later attended Valparaiso Normal School and after teaching two ms in the public schools of Indiana entered Thiel College, at Greenville, I'a.. from which he graduated in 1902. He faught one year in the high schoo! 1t Lancaster, Pa., was graduated from the Mount Airy Theological Seminary in 1906 and was ordained to the Christian ministry in June, 1906. His first work as a minister was to zanize the congregation of Holy | nity Lutheran Church at Wild wood-by-the-Sea, N. J. A lot was m ased and a chapel built. In the fall of 1908 he was called to the Church of the Redeemer, Kingston, N. Y. He was stationed for a short time at Camp Grant and later served in the cruiser and transport service. He now holds the rank of captain in the officers’ Reserve Corps and is attached to the 315th Infantry, 79th Division. CHURCH GROUP DINES.
