OMAHA, Nebr.,: June 4.—Scores-of race fans at the Ak-Sar-Ben race open: ing here yesterday threw themselves face downward in a field of mud with head rains beating on them when two cyclone-shaped clouds approached the grandstands, accompanied by strong winds. The rain fell in sheets, and those who were here in the Spring of 1913 when a cyclone struck the city, killing over 100 persons, evidently feared a repetition. Rushing from the stands the crowds raced for the open field, where they lay in deep mud with the rain pouring on them. A curtain of darkness was thrown over the city about 4 p.m. The rain lasted about half an hour.
