Conn., will occupy the pulpit of the First Congregational Church, Tenth and G streets, at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. tomorrow. Dr. Potter is recognized as one of the leading pulpit orators of America. He has been the minister of Center Congregational Church, Hartford, Conn., since 1900. He is the moderator | of the National Council of Congregu- tional Churches, an organization of which President Coolidge 1s the honorary moderator. He is also presi dent of ‘the Connecticut Bible Soclety and the Connecticut Institute for the Blind, a director of the Hartford Semi- nary Foundation and trustee of Union Coliege and Mount Holyoke College. The 11 a.m. subject will be “Triu phant Religion,” and the 8 p.m. Congregational Christian. EVANGELIST COMING Will Hold Special Meetings in Full Gospel Assembly. Collier_of* the Full Gospel 930 Pennsylvania avenue northwest, announced that special meetings will be conducted at the assembly from June 7 to 21, in- clusive, by Evangelist A. Watson Argue of Winnipeg, Canada, pastor of a large church there, but also en-| gaged in revial work. It is planned to hold services night- Iy at 7:45 o'clock, with meetings Sun- day at 3 and 7:45 pm. The assembly has recently organized a choir and orchestra of about 50 people and con- gregational gospel singing with a spe- cial musical program by Mr. Argue and the choir will be a feature of the revival. Regular services will be held tomorrow at 3 and p.m. Com- munion will be given at 3 o'clock. A meeting in charge of the Young Chris- tian Crusaders will be held tonight. The public is invited. Gunton-Temple Services. In the Gunton-Temple Memorial Presbyterian Church tomorrow morn- ing Rev. BISHOP TO HOLD SPECIAL CONFIRMATION SERVICE Rite for Those Missed in Parish Visits Will Be Administered at Cathedral Thursday. The Bishop of Washington will Nold a special service of confirmation next Thursday afterncon at 4:30 in the Bethlehem Chapel of the Natlonal Ca- thedral on Wisconsin avenue. During the year the bishop en- deavors to visit every parish in the diocese and confirm those who are pre- sented by the rector. But it often happens that some of the candidates are prevented from attending the serv- ice and receiving the rite by reason of sickness or other cause. Again, there are frequently persons who for one reason or another do not decide to take this step until after the bish- op's visitation Is part, yet, having reached the decision, wish immediate- Iy to enjoy the full privileges of fellow- ship with the church.
