Pierson and Five Oth- ers of Seventh Precinct Staff to Be Exonerated. Charges agalnst Lieut. J. W. Piler- son and five privates of the Police Department brought by Arthur Davis, | alleging that he was beaten severely at the seventh precinct station on September 27, 1924, while he was a prisoner there, will be dismissed: by the Police Trial Board, it has been learned. The finding of the trial board will be reported to the Commissioners for approval and the officlal announce- ment of the finding then will be made. The six under charges were: Lieut. Pierson, Ralph Proctor, C. P. Robin- son, R. B. Carroll, Del Mar Milstead and J. F. Gowen, all of whom were attached to the seventh precinct at the time the attack was alleged. Willlam E. Leahy represented the policemen before the trial board. The exoneration of Lieut. Plerson and Pvt. Proetor marks the conclusion of action brought against them. On trial in the District Criminal Court on in- dictment alleging assault on Davis, both Pierson and Proctor were ac- quitted. Leahy also represented them in this case.
