MARSEGLIA. ADVENTISTS TO SEEK FUNDS FOR MISSIONS Publishing, Educational and Medi- cal Work in Other Lands Will Be Enlarged. Seventh-day Adventist throughout the United States and Canada are making preparations to engage in a mission extension cam paign from May 2 to 9, that will have for its object the raising of funds to enlarge the publishing, educational and medical work of the denomination in_foreign lands. Tt is anticipated that enough money will be raised during this campalgn to assist in opening a training school and enlarge a publishing house in Poland, assist in opening a_training school in Czechoslovakia, and enlarge publishing houses, established from funds gathered In previous campalgns in Bulgaria, Latvia, Kenya, FEast Africa, Madegascar, Turkey, Greece, Egypt. South Africa and Spanish outh America; build a d |the Indians in Peru, and also dis- pensaries In India and China.e This is said to be the first time that such a joint campaign has been con- ducted by the dgnomination. Following a recommendation of the Presbytery, there will be a general exchange of pulpits among the Pres. byterian pastors tomorrow morning, the purpose being to deepen the spirit of fellowship and unity already existing among the churches. About 30 pastors are taking part in this exchange. One or two pastors on account of special meetings tomorrow are plan- ning to make thelr exchange at a later date. St. John's is the parish church of Zion Parish, a part of the Diocese of Washington over which Bishop Freeman has jurisdiction. The parish hall has in fact already been constructed by the efforts of the people of St. John's Church with sorne assistance from the diocese and is beginning to play its part in com- munity affairs as well as in the work of the church by which it was erected. It has been furnished by the vari- ous societies of the church and con- tains equipment for serving luncheons and suppers. A supper served by the ludies of the church will be held im- mediately after the corner stone cere- mony.
