Bishop Freeman was the host at ‘Tuncheon Thursday when a number of men and women of the Episcopal Church gathered to hear the final detalls of the campalgn soon to be inaugurated to raise funds for the reconstruction of the buildings of the Episcopal Church in apan, which ‘wers destroved by earthquake and fire in 1923. Bishop Freeman, Rev. Dr. Robert Joh ton and Dr. R. B. Teusler made addresses. The important matters brought out at this eting were: First, that the bulldings must be reconstructed or the church withdraw from Japan; sec- ond, that the buildings needed are for the hospital, a school for boys, a school for girls, a school for nurses, wuniversity and medical school in ad- dition to churches and homes for the workers. O REV. MR. CAMPBELL AT ST. JAMES’ CHURCH New Reoctor to Resume All Services There Tomorrow—Is Native of Virginia. The new rector at St. James' Church, Rev. Thomas Bowy<r Camp- bell, took charge of the parish April 1, succeeding Father James W. Clark, who after nearly half a century of work, retired, owing to ill health, and was made rector emeritus. Rev. Father Campbell i{s a Vir- ginlan by birth. He was a student at the Virginia Theological Seminary. After completing the seminary course and recelving holy orders he spent five years as a missionary in China. Returning to the United States he was with the American branch of the Cowloy Fathers in Boston, Mas and then came as an assistant at the House of Prayer, Newark, N. J. At the time of his election to St. James' he was the principal curate at St. Clements Church, Philadelphia. The regular schedule of services will be resumed tomorrow after nearly three months’ interruption, owing to the fliness of Father Clark. As has been the custom for more than & quarter of a Gentury, there will be the blessing and distribution of the palms with a procession around the church.
