VISITING PASTORS LISTED T0 PREACH Clergy at Methodist Confer- ence to Occupy Pulpits in Many Local Churches. At the meeting Wednesday of the Bishop's Guild of the Episcopal Church of the diocese of Washington, in St. Al ban's Guila Hall, Bishop Freeman, who presided, heard the reports of 18 organ- izations of the church,.composed of or working for women and girls. The reports showed growth in mem- bership and resources. Of marked fm- portance were the various efforts made for children and for the aged. The first report of the Episcopal Church Home ever made to the Bishop's Guild showed this institution, with a house at 3315 Wisconsin avenue, was opened in No- vember and is now caring for five elderly women. Bishop Freeman spoke and said he has hopes for the early completion of the National Cathedral on Mount St. Alban. Although there have been no very large gifts In recent months, there is & steady inflow of money for building purposes, and the bishop has « firm falth that gifts of importance will increass during the Spring, so that the work of construction need not be curtailed. To proceed with the erection of the transepts, the next part of the structure to rise above the main floor, will require pledges in hand before July 1 next amounting to $3,000,000.
