Efforts to have the zoning laws of the District declared unconstitutional met with opposition by the North Capitol Citizens' Association at .a meeting _in the United Brethren Church, North Capitol and R streets, last night. Some opposition was voiced to emploving counsel from outside of the District to aid the cor- poration coupsel in combating the action now pending In court to have the rulings of the Zoning Commis- sion declared invalid, and suggestions were made that the matter be taken direct to Congress for reliet.’ Fifty dollars was pledged to support the fight of the Federation of Citlzens’ Associations te uphold the legality of the Zoning Commission.
