ALIEN SMUGGLING BAND IS SENTENCED Ten Germans Sent to Prison in Plot to Bring Spurious Deserting Seamen to U. S. The plan was to enlist the men as sea- men aboard German ships bound for the United States. When the vessels arrived at their destination the spuri- ous seamen deserted.
