You will discover they have been convert- ed into grand dames, with big picture hats garnished with lace, ribbons, flowers or feathers. Formality has put simplicity down for the count, says the association. It was announced that the grand dame styles scored a decisive victory with the jury at the association’s Spring fashion show in the Hotel As- tor Tuesday night.
