Temporary broadeasti licenses were issued by the Department of Com- merce yesterday to the Potomac Elec- tric Power Co. for its two stations, one located at the main office at Fourteenth and C streets and the other at the power plant in Bennings. WJH are the call letters assigned to the station at Fourteenth and C streets. The call of the power plant station 1s WJIX All broadeasting will be done on a 143-meter wave band. J. H. Fer of the power company explained that both stations will be used for private communication. Recelving apparatus also will be placed on trucks oper- ating in outlying sections, so that the company can keep in constant touch with the crews if necessary.
