NEW YORK, Janusry 9.—Murray Hulbert automatically vacated the office as president of the board of aldermen of the city of New York when he accepted membership on the Finger Lakes Park Commission on April 9, 1924, Supreme Court Justice Joseph Proskauer ruled yesterday. The jus- tice made the ruling in rejecting Mr. Hulbert's petition for a mandamus to compel Controller Charles L. Cralg to pay his salary for the past three months.
