HE President and Mrs. Cool- idge will give the first of their series of state enter- tainments of the season at the White House tonight, when they will have to dine with them the President’s cabinet and the ladles of their families. There will be few other guests. Senator and Mrs. Robert Nelson Stanfield will present their daughter. Miss Barbara Stanfleld, to soc this afternoon at tea, from 4 to 1 o'clock, at Rauscher's. Senator and Mrs. Stanfleld and their daughter will receive, and the rooms will have a quantity of American beauty roses and palms and ferns, making a charming background for the debu- tante. Mrs. Stanfield will wear peach calor chiffon made on streight lines nd daintily embroidered in gold. Miss tanfield will be in pale French blue georgette crepe, made straight and without trimming, with fullness back and front and draperies of the geor- gatte falling below the hem line on each side.
