They wore bands in their hair to match their gowns, and ried arm bouquets of Ophelia Mrs. Humphrey wore gray satin crepe trimmed in gray lace, and Mrs. Mackey, mother of the bridegroom, was in dark blue crepe. Following the reception, Mr. and Mrs. Mackéy left for a wedding trip to Canada. Mrs. Mackey's traveling costume was of brown satin crepe trimmed in tan crepe and a close-fit- ting hat to match. Mr. and Mrs. Mackey will return to this city for & short visit before going to Omaha, where they will be at home at 6304 Florence boulevard. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph 1. Weller and their daughters, Miss Catherine Weller and Miss Josephine Weller, will go to New York tomorrow, from where Miss Josephine Weller will sail Saturday on the Conte Verdi for Naples. Wedding of Miss Souder And Mr. Ellia Tuewday. s A pretty wedding took place Tues- day evening when Miss Adeline Souder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Souder of Chillum, Md., be- came the bride of Mr. Willlam Wirt Ellin. The ceremony was performed at 8 o'clock by the Rev. Dr. Fletcher in St. Paul's Church, Rock Creek, and was followed by a reception for the milies in the home of the bride's parents in Maryland. The church was decorated with hydranges and palms and the house had a charming arrangement of Autumn flowers and foliage. Miss Edna Souder, sister of the bride, sang “At Dawning.” The bride was given in marriage by her father and wore a gown of white crepe de chine, made with a round neckline and short sleeves, the skirt trimmed with bands of lace and ribbon at the bottom. She wore a4 hat of white horsehuir and carried w shower bouquet of bride roses and lilies of the valley. Miss Mary Storay was the maid of honor and was in a gown of tan Eeorgette crepe made over satin em- georgette crepe with a hat to match. Mr. Ellin and his bride left later for a wedding trip to Niagara Falls and to Michigan, where they will visit relatives of the bridegroom. Mrs. Ellin's traveling costume was of gray flannel with a felt hat to match. They will make their home in Fairland, Md. Mrs. Rafael R. Govin and Miss May Govin are at the Ritz-Carlton during their week's stay at New York. Mrs. Warren Newton Akers, who has been hpending the Summer with the artist's colony, in Provincetown, Mass., has returned to her studio house on Lamont street, Col. and Mrs. B. T. Simms have re- turned to their apartment in Meridian ansions after spending the Summer on their farm in North Carolina. Mrs. A. W.
