FROSTBURG, Md., August 20— Fred Wilmoth, supreintendent of the Meyersdale Light, Heat and Power Company submitted an offer to the stockholders of the Pennsylvania and Maryland Street Railway Company whereby his company would purchase the trolley line and equipment. Mr. Wilmoth intimated that if his offer ‘is accepted his company would con- tinue to operate the line for general freight and passenger service. The power house at Boynton, near Salisbury, would be abandoned, and the power secured from the Meyers- dale plant, thus making cheaper opers tion possible. Cottonseed crushed during the year ending July 31 totaled 3,304,454 tons compared with 3,241557 in the pre vious year, the Census Bureau an- nounced today. Cottonseed on hand at mills July 3 totaled 21,534 tons, compared with 12,786 a year ago.
