Beaded gowns seem to be like the cat with nine lives. Their flashing brilliancy probably ac- counts for their popularity. Pale pink and white will be much used. Metal laces will feature manv of the new frocks. = Chiffon for dancing frocks. The new shades of pansy purple, throush the newest shades of Venetian Fuschia down to the orchid tones, will be stressed. Fur is more important than ever. It is being used to trim everything from costume suits to soort coats and eve- ning dresses. There i< to be a revival of the Eton jacket, either.in octual jacket form or simulated tv bands of fur. It is being shown on some of the late daytime dresses. Practicelly all the daytime costumes, whether frr ~*reet or sport, are to be three-piece affairs. Coats cf the-e threc-piece suits are long, straight and narrow. When the coat forms part of the three-piece ensemble verv often the blouse or unper part of the frock is re- peated in the linings of the coat. This is the cutstanding note of importance in the scheme of the costume suits. There will ~1-5 be a revival of the Redingote models. The wide leather kelt. particularly in -uede in hizh shodes, is exceedingly smart.
