Expressions of surprise and wonder at the beguty of the National Capital and the hospitality of the residents and the Washington Real Estate Board have come in scores of letters from some of the most prominent realtors in the country who attended the re- cent annu: nvention of the Na- tional Association of Real Estate Boards. These letters of apprecia- tion are continually being received by John A. Petty, executive secretary of the local real estate board. Bestowal of Compliments. The Real Estate Board of Kansas City, the home of the national presi- dent, through its executive secretary, expressed its appreciation as follow; “Our directors des you to know that the Kansas City realtors are deeply appreciative of the courtesies extended and the hospitality dis- playad by your board, and wish to compliment~ you on 'the excellent manner in which your board dis- charged {ts dutles as host to the realtors of America. Alexander S. Taylor of Cleveland, one of the earliest presidents of the national assoclation, writes as fol- lows: “Ffom every point of view it was the best conventin we have held. Its business sessions were full of in- terest and information, and your en- tertainment was filled with warm hospitality, and I Kknow that the bonds of friendship which were es- tablished during that week will be Perry O. A special committee, consisting of H. K. Boss, Willlam T. Beale and Jesse H. Hedgos, with John A. Petty, spent more than' four weeks in developing the idea. It proved such a popular booklet that the local board has had it copyrighted. The president of the natlonal asso- ciation, in referring to the conv tion, sfated that the natfonal officers appreciated the dignified atmosphere as well as the cordlal hospitality which the Washingtcs realtors were able to give the whole gatherin A LUMBER QUTPUT FALLS.
