Houses with northwestern connections were the principal sel- lers. On the decline better buving power developed and the setbacks in prices kept within fractional bounds. The opening, which varied from un- changed figures to half cent lower with July 1.04% to 1.043%, and Septem- ber 1.05% to 1.053,, was followed by a drop all around to well below Saturday's finish. Corn and oats held relatively firm, revalent cold weather and rain be- ng adverse for corn growth and re- planting. _ After opening unchanged to half cent higher, July 7814 to 78%, the corn market scored slight gen: eral gains. Oats started unchanged to one- eighth cent up July 46%. Later, the market sagged a little. Provisions were dull and’ inclined to case down somewhat, despite the steadiness of hog values. WHEAT— Open.
