LATE ARRIVALS AND SMART EXTRAORDINARY STORE NEWS OF TODAY BY ETHEL M. PARKS If all the world loves a lover, then all the world and his wife loves the June bride. The wedding gown, of course, must have the first consider- ation. After that is selected there are S al! the innumerable accessories which the little bride-to- be takes such joy in selecting. The handkerchief, of Duchess and Rose Point lace, is not difficult to select. For something old, many of the June brides will have their mothers’ wedding veils, which have been carefully preserved and handed down from one generation to another. Beautiful things they are, too, with all the glamour of past ro- mances clinging to them. Levely, dainty underthings seem to be made loveiier and daintier every year. Today the bride may select the most adorable three- piece garments, in all white, flesh, or, if she is inclined to 2 colors, in a combination of pink, del- icate blue and orchid. Then a beau- tiful set of gown and step-in is of heavy white crepe de chine, hand- somely embroidered in raised roses and leaves in white. There is such a variety that every individual taste may be satisfied. There are pretty lace frills and ruffles combined with ribbons in the pastel shades, which make the most charming boudoir headdresses. And there are times when they may be worn with a clinging negligee and add much to the charm of the wearer. Of course, the wrap- around girdle must be as dainty and pretty as the rest of the '\ bride’s wardrobe, and .Y here they are with lace combined with pink satin brocade and ¥ ruflled elastic, with tiny rosebuds around the top. There are many styles to please the most fastidious person. Gloves, if they are to be worn, mey be had in any length, of the finest, softest kid—in white, with a delicately-traced stitching. Hosiery, too, fine and sheer, al- most cobwebby—plain if one pre- fers, or with lace or clocks if more elaborate hose are desired. When she starts on her honeymoorn she must have in her hand- bag, where it is easily accessible, one of the lovely little filigree and stone set perfume bot- tles. They hold only a few drops, but that is all that is needed. Two of these are pictured here, one set with stones the color of jade and rubies, the other with a single stone. And the little pow- n_ilcr and rouge boxes are very sim- ilar. And when they return, if per- chance a tiny apartment just for two is to be their first home, they will both be interested in the newest breakfast suites, which may serve for dinner as well, for these latest ones come with a gateleg table, in ivory and blue, or gray and blue, and four chairs to match. When folded the table is only 8x37 inches, so you see it takes only the smallest space. Opened it is 37x43—large enough for four. Sets of lovely fine linen and lace doilies have no doubt been among the wedding gifts, and as the up-to- date bride knows as well how to pre- pare a_tempting dish as the in- numerable other things at which she is an adept, the matrimonial ship sets sail on @ smooth sea. And if she will but remember that one admon- ition of those who have learned by experience—“Feed the brute”—she may steer clear of troubled waters and keep him close to his own fire- side. : Beautiful Wedding Dresses Bridesmaids’ Dresses, Graduation Dresses, Party Dresses Sports Togs $19.75 to $39.75 The loveliest, daintiest white dresses one can imagine.
