RICHMOND, Va, April 22.—Just two weeks remain In which the peo- ple of Virginia who may desire to vote for a President, a United States seaator and representative for each of the ten districts of the state can pay their poll taxes and get their names on the polling lists. The elec- tion thls year comes November 4, so that on or before May 4 the taxes must be paid and the receipts in the hands of the voters. They can register later, tax must be paid not later than six months prior to the date of the first regular election succeeding such pay- ment, Kvery voler must pay per- sonally. Appeals have been sent out in eve irection to the voters to but the attend to this, but the responses have not been of a character to encourage the Democrats that there will be a full vote, and the Republicans are no better off. He states that he sold the bonds to a Baltimore brokerage house at par, in $50 de- nominations and under conditions un- usually favorable to taxpayers of the wn. The bridge at Clst street and Franklin avenue, one of those wash- ed away in the flood, already has been rebuilt as the result of loans by citizens, at a cost of $1,500.
