COMMENDS PLATOON . SYSTEM IN SCHOOLS Miss Fairley Talks to Park View Association of Work-Study- Play Method. [EXPLAINS MERITS OF PLAN Attended Convention of Superin- tendents in Chicago. The platoon school as an aid to proper considered by the Park ssociation at a meet- ing in Park View School last night, after the réading of a paper prepared by Miss Frances 8. Fairley, principal of the school, who has just returned from Chicago, where she attended the convention of school superintend- ents. The platoon school or work- study-play system, Miss Fairley stated, was inaugurated in Gary, Ind., by Dr. William Wirt, sixteen years ago and is now in operation in sixty- | five cities. Many large cities, she said, have adopted the plan throughout the entire school system.
