By the Assoctated Pre CHICAGO, February 16—It was a bear week in all the grain pits. To a large extent, the lessened con- fidence in grain values appeared to result from mistrust due to insta- bility of the stock market and of cot- ton. Corn Receipts Weaken Market, Enlarged receipts of corn had a good deal to do with weakening the corn market and with depressing oats as well. Primary receints of corn were considerably in excess of the amount last week or a year ago. On the other hand, opinions differed as to whatever the increased movement of the corn crop would continue or whether the peak had been reached. Bulls contended that hog arrivals furniched an indication that heavy feeding still was in progress. Provisions were governed by re- ports that demand, although rather heavy, was failing to absorb the available supply. Export trade, how- over, was said to have picked up somewhat over last week.
