ANNAPOLIS, Md, February 1.—By the rulings of thg court of appeals of Maryland Commaunder Frank D. Pryor was today given an absolute divorce from his wife, Margaret S. Pryor. They were married June 17, 1914, and lived together until August 21, 1921, when the defendant wrote to her husband that she intended not to live with him further. The decree is based on testimony as to the intimacy of the officer's wife with & young ofticer, Ernest J. Poole, THE E\'ENJ.NG STAR, WASHINGTON, D. C, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 1924 jr., at the time a midshipman at the Naval Academy. The court referred to the fact that there was no direct testimony as to acts of unfaithfulness, but stated by,_a preponderance of the evidence. There was much testimony as to affectionate relationships between Mrs. Pryor and Poole and their con- stant companianship. It was shown that they had stayed out together until late hours, and also that he had spent at.least one night at her home, no others belng present but two fn- ants. While the most important witnesses were domestics, it was shown that they were not unfriendly toward Mrs. Pryor and there was considerable corroboration from other sources.
