MATHEWS DENIES HE * ATTACKED DRY CHIEF Attorney Says Notes of Schrick | Trial at Indianapolis Will Reveal Truth. APPEARANCE NOT VOLUNTARY Declares United States Senator Can Corroborate His Evidence, Jerry A. Mathews of this city today took fssue with Prohibition Commis- eloner Haynes, and denled that in ap- pearing before the federal court at Indianapolls last Thursday in the case of Michael Schrick, brewer, he had attacked and criticized prohibiton of- ficlals, for promising “immunity” from vrosecution. “The transcript porter's notes will Mathew today. certainly imputed mo unworthy mo- tive to the government agencies.
