Protest agaipst disgraceful and in- sanitary conditions glleged to, be ex- fsting at the Brightwood School were voiced last evening at a meeting of Manor Park Citizens' Assoclation, at 210 3d street northwest. It was sald that the boys attending this school who carry their lunch were forced | either to go outside to eat Junch or use the lavatories for this purpose ! This do2s rot apply te the girls, as they are permitted to Junch in the schoolrooms. The health department is to bes urged to remedy this condition and to provide prover facilities for lunch- eon purposes. The Brightwood School, it is said, ultimately is to be replaced by & new school building at 3d°and Rittenhouse :treets. Thix would eliminate the long distance having to e traveled by children in the Manor Turk section. Fight Community Type. A resolution was adopted request- ing the zoning commission to forbid 1he erection of the community tyvpe of house in strictly detached resi- dential sections. The co-oneration of other citizens' bolles will be asked n this matter. It was brought cut that pronerty owners in the Manor section, when <« ntemplating of homes, were given to tand that nons but detached houres would be alluwed to be ercet- ed, but, it is said, this promise nas been violated W.
