RED GROSS PLANS BROADER APPEAL Intensifies Campaign for Members to Provide Bud- get for D. C. Work. Subscription blanks were person- ally taken to local business firms to- day by women of the District Chapter in an effort to put chapter “over the top” in fjts appeal for §75,000 to carry on the work during the ensuing year. This was the first step in the re- newed campaign, following the fall- ure raise the fund by malling appeals throughout the city. The en- rollment is far short, and other di- rect steps will be taken to boost it. It is the hope of officials of the chapter that every business house in Washington will enroll 100 per cent, every employe being down on the Tolls of the District Chapter as an annual member.
