Boy Some Planter. From the Farm Review. A negro tenant boy on a large plan- { tation in Faulkner county, Arkansa has given the tenants on that planta- tlon and other neighbors a new idea of corn yicld. The soil is naturally fertile, but under prevailing methods of cultivation only produces an aver- age of about forty-five bushels of corn per acre. With the consent of the landlord, this fifteen-year-old boy, Walter Flower, last year planted and cultivated one acre of corn on the plantation under the supervision of the agricultural extension agent, pay- ing all of his own expenses. He harvested ninety-one bushels, making a net profit of $53.
