NEW HAVEN, Conn., June 16.—The twenty-second commencement at Yale, which began tonight with the presentation of “King Lear” on the college campus by the dramatic as- sociation, marks the 150th anniver- sary of the graduation of Nathan Hale, patriot spy of the American revolution. In recognition of this event there will be a guard of honor at the Nathan Hale statue in front of old Connecticut Hall, on the college cam- pus, on baccalaureate Sunday and on commencement day. A special exhibition of Hale's pa- pers and personal belongings has been arranged in the university li- brary by George Dudley Seymour, with the co-operation of the Con- necticut Historical Society. The ar- rival of the alumni for the class re- unions indicated tonight a very large attendance at all the gatherings.
