By the Associated Drens, NORTH BAY, Ont, May 31.—After two .weeks of terror, this town today stood free of the menace of Ieo Rogers, twenty-one-year-old desper- ado, who last night fell before the bullets of a posse that had eought him since Mey 16, when he escaped from a court where he was on trial for a minor offense when he flourish- ed a cardboard pistol. Two men were killed and several fell wounded by bullets from his automatic pistols before the youth was brought down when surprised by Possemen who came upon him as he ‘was washing his hands in Lake Nipis- sing. By the Associated Press. ‘PITTSBURGH, Pa. May 31.—The Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh was destroyed by fire today. More than one hundred little patients, most of them crippied, were moved to the Mages Maternity Hospital nearby. So far as the authorities were able to determine there was no’loss of life. The main building, b many vears, ago and widely known as the Moorehead homestead, was the center of a number of frame wings built as the needs of the hospital increased. The fire started in one of the wings and spread so rapidly that fire chicfs saw the place was doomed and di- rected their attention to saving the children.
