MEMPHIS, May 31.—Mrs. Eleanor Lee Harris of New York, here to ob- tain depositions for submission at hearing of proceeding instituted b)l her husband, Beverly D. Harris, New York banker, for annulment of their marriage, declared that she obtain a statement from a Memphis minister to disprove a charge of mis- conduct, sald to have been made by Mr. Harris, and that depositions al- ready had been obtained to disprove allegations that she is “Samuells Les,” whom Harris s quoted as having charged she was, according to a story pubnshefl in the Memphis News- Scimit harges made by my husband are without foundation,” Mrs. Harris was quoted as saying. Mrs. Harris formerly lived in Mem- phis. She denied that she had made misrepresentations to her husband as to the identity of her father; asserted that depositions obtained in Clarks- ville, Tenn., showed “Samuella Lee” an older woman than she and de- clared that a deposition to be made here will show that at the time she was alleged to have been at a local hotel, the time of the alleged mis- conduct, she was at a church here in conversation with a minister.
