Cockburne, negro skipper of the Yar- mouth, which was the only ship ever owned by the Black Star Line, took up the greater part of the day at the trial in the federal court today of Marcus Garvey, “provisional presi- dent of the African republic,” charged wnh using the mails to defraud.
