One Stalk Produces 530 Bolls as Large as a Man’s Fist. A cotton stalk containing 530 bolls, and ten of whose seed sold for $10 each, is located near Lamarque, Tex., and is owned by P. Dan George, & Rumanian. The stalk was produced by graft- ing an extra fine cotton stalk on tc a mulberry root. It might be thought that the stalk would have to be the size of a mulberry tree in order to contain 530 bolls, but in fact it is only a little over four feet in height, as some cotton ons of lowland.
