Scott, former presi- dent of the International Typograph- ital Union and one of the leading labor union represcntatives of the country, died here yesterday after an lliness of ten days' duration. He lived here two years. Mr. Scott was stricken with the illness which re- sulted {n his death on February 22. Born in Elmira, N. Y. fifty-eight years ago, Mr. Scott was educated there and thirty-six years ago enter- ed the printing trades. For eight years \ne was employed in various shops newspaper offices, both as a writer and printer, throughout New York ‘and thirty years ago became foreman of the Syracuse (N. Y.)! Standard.
