Three floors of it. Yet this is not all. In four warehouses scattered about the city of Washington there is more of it. Yet that is not all. In freight trains that will rumble into Washington within the next few days, there is still more of it. “-We have gone to some pains to give you a quantity impression of this furniture sale. It has size. In downright volume it looms large with hulk, bulk and ponderous weight. It was due in part to the immense purchases that prices are at the lowest levels in the last half decade! There is another factor which enabled us to realize the remarkably low prices. The name of it is FORE- SIGHT. Four months ago we were advised of imminent and impending advances in the furniture market. The statistics were before us. It couldn’t be other- wise. The prophecy was already fulfilled in the con- templated and prospective: building operations all over America. We bought this furniture then. We bought it at low-ebb prices. And now that the high tide of building has struck and home-hungry Washington is buying furniture as seldom before, prices are advancing—naturally—in obeyance to the implacable law of supply and demand. This is why The Hecht Co. half-yearly sale offers savings of 10% to 40% against present retail prices. You are urged to buy now and here. The urgency of this urge is al once apparent when you realize the practical certainty of higher prices later on! Selections may be made tomorrow from samples now displayed on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors, pur- chases and deliveries to be dated as of Monday, January 22nd, the first day of the sale. Furniture Sale Catalogue now ready—ask for it All wool rugs reduced 10% to 25% Select these during the three days of courtesy, selections to be dated as of Jan. 22.
