Remington, newly appointed Bishop of the Diocese of Eastern Oregon. At the time of the general conven- tion of the Episcopal Church at Port- land, Oreg.. last September Bishop Paddock resigned his position in east- ern Oregon because of ill healt Within a few hours after the res! nation was accepted Bishop Remini nominated and confirmed as cessor. Bishop Remington's work among the Indians of South Dakota was so well known through- out the church that there was no question of his fitness for the highen rank. Transferred from the prairies of Dakota to the lumber camps of Oregon, Bishop Remington has con- tinued his successful work of uplift among men accustomed to hard work in the open alr. His account of these two fields will seem more like a ro- mance than a sermon.
