Ben Green, colored, many years a resident of this city, some time en- joying his freedom and at other times living in close quarters at govern- ment expense, returned to this. city Friday night, although he knew he stood a chance to be returned to Lorton, Va., to finish an unexpired sentence for having participated in a hold-up. He stopped at Georgetown over {night and fell into the hands of Po- jliceman McLarney yesterday after- inoon. when he appeared in an M street store and tried to get an al- leged worthless check cashed. Ben had been arrested in this city several years ago and given a sen. {tence of five vears in the District re- formatory at Lorton, Va., but made his_escape. He later got in trouble in Norfolk and was given a sentence of two vears. In Virginia he was {sent to a road camp. from which he {escaped and came here. 1 FOUND. BLAMED AGT ON HER Nurse Says Woman Laid Self-De- struction to Man's Refusal to Return $5,000. By the Associated Press, BUFFALO, N. Y., December 9.—The opening of will of Mrs. Marion E.
