AIR INTERFERENCE Evening Entertainments on Two Separate Waves Are Assured. Beginning Monday a new schedule for broadcasters in the second radio district will go into effect. The pro- posed schedule has been arranged to eliminate, as far as possible, the inter- ference in the air for the invisible au- dience. ‘The management of WJZ had the privilege of broadcasting on 360 meters, sharing the time with the less powerful stations; or going In with class B, the most powerful stations in the second district, and operating on 400 meters. The class A stations agreed to stand by on special occasions should WJZ, the radio corporation-Westinghouse station at Newark, N. J., want to broadcast concerts,, such as the stadium_ concerts given by the Philharmonic Orchestra, play by play results of the world's se- ries, and the Saturday afternoon foot ball games from September 23 until the end of the season, also to permit WJZ to broadcast every evening. Class A Stations. Class A stations are ‘Wanamaker, New Yc May, Newark, N. J. Times, nig Brothers, Tarrytow Wireless Telephone Company. Patérson, WAAT, rew, Jerse: AM, L Nelson Com- . and wx-‘,u- Shotton Blectric Company, Poughkeepsie, N. Y. WJZ will continue to operate on the 360-meter wave length. As usual, bedtime storfes will be every evening from 7 to WJZ. This station will then stand by for an hour on Monday. Thurad: Friday and Saturday evenings and for an hour and a half on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for the nther members of class A stations the second district.
