Miss Dorothy Ehrler, 314 16th street southeast, was rescued from drowning after being submerged for almost three minutes, at the tidal basin bath- 1 ing beach yesterday, because of ‘ prompt diving work by life guards there. Atter being placed under pulmotor treatment for half an hour she was i = resuscitated by Drs. Cupney and | ; Mootey in the emergency station at the beach and sent to Emergency Hos- pital, where her condition is serious. Pneumonia is believed to have set in. Officlals at the bathing beach de- clared they believed Miss Ehrler in- jured her head in making a_double dive with a girl companion. She dis- appeared under water near a float and dld not come up. Lifeguards Perron ' and Turner responded promptly to cries for help and dived, bringing up the girl after several attempts. Miss Ehrler is the daughter of Paul 1005-1007 PA.AVE R.
