TOOPENATBASIN| Opening of the 1922 summer season at the t{dal basin bathing beach will take place -Saturday morning at 7 o'clock, It was announced today by Lieut. Col C. O. Sherrell, officer in charge of public buildings and grounds. L. Gordon Leech and Sidney W. Leech, managers for the past three years, will be in charge. 2 A corpd of lifeguards were put through & practice test today under the direc- tion of Wilbur M. Apple, thelr chief. Another workout will take plage Friday afternoon. The guards, who have been at the beach during three or four sea- sons, are: Joyce Levyy, Henry H. Bowen, Edward Pugh, Buff Turner, Craig Wilton and Joe Pirrone. ~Lionel Levvy will be assistant chief lifeguard. Other members of the personnel in- clude Mrs. Margaret Tucker, in charge of women's lockers: James Shugrue, in charge of men's lockers; Owen Thomp- son, swimming- instructor, and Dr. H. W. Cudney and Dr. Ferrall Moody, physicians. There have been a number of changes season. Painted inside and out sev- eral alterations have been made for the | betterment of efficient service.
