NEW YORK, March 27 (Special).— Yhile there was some little activity in dry goods today, it was not of a character to indicate any break in steady, but the narrower tions were more active and firmer. There was some evidence of buying sheetings for export and fine goods were in demand in small lots, but in general thé market marking time and watching closely the wage situation in New England, especially at _Lawrence, Mass. Raw silks were fairly strong, but buying_was confined largely to small lots. Finished goods, with the ex- ception of the crepe weaves, were weaker in tone and manufacturers express no encouragement over the putlook. —_— SERGT. BOYLE RETIRED, Sergt. Bernard J.
