At the request of the mission a complete scheme for all the religious educa- tional work was prepared by Mr. An- nett. This included recommended courses of lessons for the Sunday schools and day schools, as well as daily Bible readings for the homes. At Ootacamund a building was leased for a month that a well pre- pared program might be given to the leaders who attended. Some of the | preacher-students came from Ceylon, Burma and Assam. There were six lecture periods a day, including a de- votional meeting with a Bible talk, and a practice hour, when Mrs. Annett presided over model and criticism classes. When a survey was made concerning the number of schools under the cire of the members of that training class it was found the total was seventy-four Sunday schools with 4,410 scholars and thirty-three d: schools with a membership of From Ootacamund Mr. and Mrs. Annett journeyed seventy-two hours to Calcutta, where the next training school was conducted. —_— MISSION UNION TO MEET.
