CHILDREN DRUG ADDICTS. Pupils Declared to Be Selling Nar- cotics in New York. PHILADELPHIA, Pa., October 20.— Sarah Graham Mulhall, former deputy commissioner of the narcotic control board of New York, told the Amer- ican Humane Society that conditions resulting from drug addiction in the Jnited States were “appalling,” and t the habit was “spreading alarm- among public and private school children. “Large numbers of school children in New York, mostly of high school age.” she said, “have become addicted to the use of drugs.
