An immigration case analogous that of Lord Mayor O'Callaghan Cork, in which Izetta Jewell, an actress, has become interested, is now before the State Department for final decision, it was learned today. The case is that of George Gouroff, a survivor of the bolshevik invasion of the Crimea during the dving days of the Kolchak fight to rid Russia of bolshevism. Gouroff. a boy of sev- enteen, arrived as a stowaway at El- lis Island more than a month ago. He did not have a passport nor a to of I'LL TELL Rim T've INVENTED A BULLET- PROOF VEST. Efforts are now being made by the actress and a group of Philadelphians to have the State Department use its discretionary powers and waive the passport regulations to permit the entrance of Gouroff. The Russian boy was sent away by his parents from Sebastopol while the bolshevik armies were advancing on that Crimean port, after Kolchak had warned all persons in the city to leave. He returned a month later and found his parents and all his relatives had been murdered by the soviet forces. The case bears a resemblance to that of Lord Mayor O'Callaghan, in that Gouroff arrived in the United States without a passport or a vise. Decision rests entirely with the State Department. e During the past year, Sam J.
