President Johnson was in the chair. It was voted that the next regular meeting be held the afternoon of the second Sunday in January, to enable the juniors to be present. After a brief song servic the president introduced Mr. R. A. Dins- more, chairman, and a delegation from Minnehaha Lodge of Good Templars, who came to present the program for the even- ing. Mr. A. Canfield made an address devoted to an exposition of the methods and achievements of the Anti-Saloon League; Mr. H. R. Stewart drew a contrast between the expense of the saloon system and the money invested in the educa Wnstitutions of the country; Mr. 8. W sell explained and commended the juv temple system; Mr. H. F. Smith spoke of Minnehaha Lodge as a live tempe ganization, and welcomed to its strangers present; Grand Counsell: of Kansas gave an interesting discourse on the prohibition contest in that state; a lady, prominent in the red ribbon movement in Pennsylvania, talked in an entertaining way of the progress of temperance events in that commonwealth; Mrs. Carrie and Miss Nellie Smith entertained the meeting with several vocal and instrumental selece tions. ————— Woman's Press Association, A meeting of the Woman's National Press Association was held at Willard’ Hotel last evening, Mrs. E. S. Cromwell presiding. Misses Maud and Ruby Scruggs of Atlanta, Ga.; Miss Hetty Abrahams and Miss Jessie B. Frazier were admitted to membership. It wes announced that the W. N. P. A. entertainment will take place in the parlors of Willard’s Hotel the evening of the lith instant, at which Mrs. John A.
