Scarlet fever is said to be on the increase to an alarming extent, due, it is believed, claimed that though one member of a fam- ily was stricken with scarlet fever, other members of the family were allowed to at- tend the public schools. The matter ts being investigated, and every effort will be made by the heaith authorities to put a stop to its spreading.
