22 THE EVENING ‘STAR; SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12; 1896-24 PAGES. - WHOLESALE PRODUCE MARKET. Butter Still Advancing—Eggs Lower— eneral Firmness. The upward tendency in butter noticed in the local wholesale produce market last week has resulted in an advance in about all grades of a cent or two a pound. Fggs, however, have declined about a cent a dozen today, although they were romewhat ugher during the past week. The recent warm weather has also affected the price of poultry, figures being slightly low- ez today. About the same can be said of game. Vegetables and fruits remain prac- tically unchanged, and that is true also of beef and other meats.
